An event that kept us together..

People said three is a crowd but our friendship prove it otherwise. Jan, Long and I visited Snow World during our semester break last year. I was too afraid to try the Cresta Run snow slide. Long convinced Jan to try it out and she agreed. After experiencing the exciting ride, Jan noticed that something slide out of her pocket. She immediately informed us that she lost her phone while having fun. I quickly rushed to the locker to check but could not find it.

What came to my mind was to look for friendly Genting's staffs for help. They notified us that they found a phone with the matching info that we had provided. The staff passed us the phone and advice us that phone is prohibited. We were so thankful nothing ruined our casual to the City of Entertainment.

I would love to have unlimited time in Snow World to spend quality time with my family and friends instead of the restricted time. Besides, I would love to have animals from winter country in Snow World to provide us with extra photo captures.

My Best Memories with TM

I was born in the late 80's. Similar to those born during this period of time, I do not have the luxury of owning mobile phones, laptops or iPads when I was young.

TM Homeline was the only way my classmates and I communicate. We used to check with each other whether we have missed any homework, discussed the questions that we do not know how to do or casual chat. My parents also used this to check on our safety and progress since both of them are working.

The nostalgic TM handset that accompanied our family

Using the house phone trained me to be a polite person. I have to ask for permission to speak to my friend if he is not the one who picked up the call. This gave me adrenaline rush when I am on the ringing tone anticipating that my friend will be the first to pick up. My siblings and I will also rush to the phone every time it rings as we would not know who is on the line.

My friends who grew up with me using TM Homeline

My mother felt that we need to start using the internet at home when I was in Standard 5 in year 1999. We used the TM dial-up internet connection by plugging the phone line to the 56k dial-up modem and dial 1515 from our computer. The speed was sufficient enough to check mails, read news, play flash games, download clip arts for projects and surf on Friendster. We have to inform her whenever we need to use the internet as she kept the password to herself because she was afraid we would surf pornography websites or spend to much time on the world wide web.

The only problem with the dial-up connection is that the modem could spoil easily if we forget to unplug the phone line whenever it rains. It will be devastating as we will not have internet access until the burned out modem is replaced.

The 56k modem with sensitive electronic parts

Our family started to subscribe to TM Streamyx in 2000. Life changed as our life was digitalized. Though there were minor hiccups once in a while, the friendly staffs at 100 tried their best to solve our problems and the technicians were cheerful and friendly.

The 3 lights that made my day

The growing usage of internet in our house made us built different interest. Me and my siblings hooked on social networks while my mother and father hooked on online shopping.

My mom is an online shopaholic

Following the social network trends, I have joined TM on Facebook and Twitter and participated in their activities such as Life is Meant to be Rewarding video contest and EC Open House.

My video for Life is Meant to be Rewarding video contest

These are my best memories with TM. I cannot wait to participate in more TM events such football matches, superstar concerts and awareness events to meet with people of different background.

KIA, My Choice This Valentine

It is the Valentine season again. This marks the 24th year I am celebrating Valentine's Day without a partner.

Myself sulking without a Valentine :(

While many are busy preparing gifts and making reservations at restaurants, I am rotting at home waiting for someone to date me out on this auspicious day.

Pillow fight with the soft toys to kill time

Then I came across this contest from KIA MALAYSIA facebook page:

Contest's poster

All I need to do is to express my love to KIA and it definitely suits eligible bachelor like me because I do not have to rent-a-girlfriend as other Valentine's Day contests require participants to express their love to their Valentine.

My first automotive's crush was a KIA Sephia in the year 2002. I just started puberty and this was love at the first sight, admiring teachers driving them to school and parked next to my class.

KIA Sephia (photo credits: wikipedia)

Sephia's name was coined using the acronym style, it represents style, elegant, powerful, hi-tech, ideal and auto.

It was at a very competitive price in Malaysia compared to other models with similar specifications.

But my parents made the final decision. They decided to get another car instead of KIA Sephia as my mother felt that the backside car boot was too short. But I knew the shortness adds sexiness to the already so elegant KIA Sephia.

My disappointing look towards their decision :(

Since then, my love towards KIA cars grew stronger and I have to say NO to other automotive's manufacturers.

Rejection to other manufacturers :P

I am currently attracted to the sporty yet gorgeous KIA Forte KOUP. The design is mind blowing and the specifications are creme de la creme.

Forte KOUP is value for money with many added features one cannot find in other. The Sliding Power Sunroof had definitely added WOW factor to the Forte KOUP. It provides a basking good time for me and the passengers.

The interior is spacious but each part is given full details. Every part is arrange in order to provide extra space.

Although I do not own a KIA, but it was my first love and it will be my only love. Happy Valentine's Day!

KR1M : Apa Kata Anda

Logo 1Malaysia
